OFFA | Established in 2014, the Oakville Festivals of Film & Art (OFFA) is a true community-oriented festival, focused on bringing the best features, documentaries, and short films to cinephiles in southern Ontario.

PROJECT
ABSTRACTS
When the Covid-19 pandemic broke out globally, it significantly shifted how events were attended. This led to the need to find a solution for conducting the previously in-person film festival for OFFA in an online format. The Invention Accelerator will bring students from various majors to work on this task over three months in the summer of 2022. To provide a similar quality online experience, developing an app was deemed the most suitable approach. The hybrid approach of the festival aligns with the current trend toward human-centred design and enables everyone to participate, even if they can't attend in person.
